I’ve had a connection with Ebony from very first moment we met.
I use it exclusively for the fingerboard, peghead overlay, pickguard, bridge, saddle, and tailpiece.

For this selection, I offer my two favorite species of Ebony: West African and Macassar.

 

West African Ebony

Black Ebony. The good stuff. My standard grade is premium and my premium grade is legendary.

I call it “The Devil’s Colored Pencils”. Elegant and seductive streaky colors that show up in blondes, reds, greens, blues, and beyond; with a touch of darkness.

    • Once the fingerboard is chosen, I’ll select the remaining material for the headplate, pickguard. and tailpiece for a great match.
